I find the boats, lying on the mud flats fascinating. In a way it's a metaphor for live and resilience. Actually, the tide in the Bristol channel has a good 20-30 foot rise which leaves the boats stranded in the muck twice a day. Useful if you're trying to get to sea or to harbour, but a pain otherwise.
