Relief!
This green sea turtle is just about back into the water after the difficult task of laying her eggs. No single image quite captured her palpable feeling of relief when the waves washed over her face, but this composite almost does. Since the beach sands are much hotter than her normal world, I expect she was feeling far too hot in the midday sun. Her friends, at least those who had finished laying or were males, were surfing and playing in the waves just offshore.
